Vinicius transfer to Saudi Arabia may force Real Madrid to buy Haaland

In Saudi Arabia, hopes remain high to sign Real Madrid’s star Vinicius Junior.

According to renowned insider Florian Plettenberg, several managers and agents, directly or indirectly linked with the Spanish club, are aware that a summer move for Vinicius to Saudi Arabia is not entirely off the table. In a league where Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, and other stars are already playing, the dream of pulling off this top-tier transfer continues.

Plettenberg writes that this would be a deal of unprecedented scale, both in terms of the player’s salary and the transfer fee.

Should Vinicius leave, Real Madrid will target Manchester City’s Norwegian talent Erling Haaland. He will be the new transfer target for the “merengues” in the summer of 2025.

According to the analytical portal Transfermarkt, Vinicius Junior is currently one of the most valuable players in the world, with a transfer value of 200 million euros. However, a potential transfer to Saudi Arabia comes with its own specifics, and it’s not ruled out that this deal could break the transfer record, which is currently held by Neymar following his move from Barcelona to PSG (222 million euros).

This season, Vinicius Junior has already scored 20 goals in 44 matches across all competitions. The forward has been playing for the Santiago Bernabeu club since 2018, when he transferred from Flamengo for 45 million euros.
