Real Madrid is considered one of the greatest clubs in football history. The “royal club” boasts 15 UEFA Champions League titles, an absolute record in the tournament’s history. However, there is one club that Real has yet to defeat.
That club is Arsenal London. The teams have not met often, but the “merengues” have never managed to overcome this hurdle.
In three official matches between these teams, Real has suffered two defeats, one draw, conceded five goals, and scored none.
Their first encounter was in 2006. In the UEFA Champions League round of 16, Real lost at home 0-1, and the match in London ended in a 0-0 draw.
On April 8, 2024, also in the quarter-finals of the tournament, Arsenal defeated the Madrid club 3-0 in the first match.
A new encounter awaits the rivals in a week. To advance to the tournament’s semi-finals, Real needs to score at least three times. Is it feasible, considering that the Spanish giant has yet to score a single goal against the “Gunners”?
