Barcelona also considered signing Marcus last winter. The club’s main issue remains its financial situation: the Catalan giant cannot afford to spend a large sum on this deal.
Bayern Munich will lose Thomas Müller this summer, as they refused to extend his contract. This could be a catalyst for seeking reinforcements in attack. It is not excluded that the German club will consider inviting Harry Kane’s teammate from the England national team.
Chelsea might start looking for a new forward, considering the form of Raheem Sterling and João Félix, and Jadon Sancho’s loan is unlikely to be extended. Enzo Maresca is in search of a forward, and the choice might fall on Marcus Rashford.
Recall that the 27-year-old forward is currently playing for the Birmingham club on loan. It expires at the end of the season.
