Duván Zapata has extended his stay at Torino until June 2027, according to Futbolred. The Colombian striker signed a new contract with the Serie A club as he continues to recover from a ligament injury that has sidelined him since October 2024.
Torino made the announcement via social media, sharing a photo of Zapata alongside club president Urbano Cairo, who oversaw the extension. “Torino Football Club is pleased to announce that it has renewed the sporting contract of footballer Duván Zapata until June 30, 2027,” the club posted.
Although Zapata received transfer offers in 2024, Torino declined to sell and doubled down on their confidence in the player. The renewed commitment reflects the club’s faith in the striker, who has scored 16 goals and provided four assists across two seasons in Turin.
Currently in the final stages of his recovery, Zapata has resumed training and is expected to return next season. The new contract ensures stability as he works toward regaining full fitness and making a strong comeback to Italian football.
